Horse of the Year Show is excited to share our timetable for this year’s show in anticipation of our tickets going on sale on 28th March 2025. There have been some changes to this year’s timetable to ensure each class has the perfect amount of time in the spotlight of the Arena of Dreams, and to include some new exciting aspects to the show.

The notable changes for this year’s timetable are as follows:

The Mountain & Moorland Lead Rein class and Sweet Dreams Confectioners Mountain & Moorland First Ridden Pony of the Year have been moved to Sunday, to allow for the new split of the Colne Mountain & Moorland Welsh Breeds Lead Rein Pony of the Year and the Westown Stud Mountain & Moorland Non-Welsh Breeds Lead Rein Pony of the Year.

The Enablelink Ltd Lead Rein Pony of Hunter Type of the Year Championship has been moved from Saturday to Wednesday.

The SEIB Search for a Star classes have been spread across the weekdays, with two on Wednesday, two on Thursday and one prior to the Championship on Friday.

The Hamilton Tarmac Small Show Hunter of the Year returns to Thursday to align better with the other Hunter classes.

The Shire Horse of the Year Championship supported by the Shire Horse Society has been moved from Sunday to Thursday.

The Barber Family British Ridden Heavy Horse of the Year Championship and Driven Heavy Horse of the Year Championship have been moved from Thursday to Sunday.

The NeedleSmart, John Illingworth and Cliff Kirby Ridden Purebred Arab of the Year Championship and the Binks Family Partbred Pony of the Year Championship have been moved from Saturday to Sunday.

The Shine Source Footwear UK LTD Show Hunter Pony of the Year classes have been moved from Sunday to Saturday.

The new UKAMHS American Miniature Horse of the Year sponsored by Pandoras Miniature Farm will feature on Wednesday.

These changes have been made to ensure that the show’s timings remain efficient and consistent with the number of exhibits coming forward, allowing each horse or pony ample time to showcase themselves at their best. Horse of the Year Show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham 8th – 12th October 2025. We have an incredible show planned, and look forward to revealing more in due course.
